The long awaited Nvidia’s earnings has arrived, what does the market says?

Monday (25 Aug)

President Trump fired Fed Official Lisa Cook with grounds of mortgage fraud allegations.

Tuesday (26 Aug)

Eli Lily (LLY)’s new study put the company in a favorable position to apply for approval for its weight-loss pill.

Korea Air announced that they will be purchasing 103 of Boeing’s (BA) jets.

Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) retraced after announcing plans to purchase coffee company JDP Peet.

Interactive Brokers Group (IBKR) will be joining the S&P500 and replacing Walgreens Boots Alliance, as the latter will be taken private by Sycamore Partners later this year.

Wednesday (27 Aug)

Database firm MongoDB (MDB) and retailer Kohl (KSS) reported earnings that beat expectations.

Food-and-beverage company J.M Smucker (SJM) reported a quarterly loss.

Thursday (28 Aug)

US Jobless claims and Q2 GDP were in line with expectations.

Tesla’s (TSLA) sales continue to fall in July for its Eurozone’s sales.

Nvidia (NVDA), Snowflake (SNOW) and Agilent Technologies (A)reported earnings matching analyst expectations.

Hormel Foods (HRL) announced profits missing expectations.

Dollar General (DG) reported estimates beating profits, and also raised its guidance. They did also commented that lower income consumers were facing global economic pressures.

Intel (INTC) has received $5.7 billion cash from the US government for a 10% stake.

Friday (29 Aug)

Core CPI rose 2.9% in July, in-line with expectations.

Wall Street Journal reported on Ali Baba creating a more advanced chip to rival Nvidia.

Catepillar (CAT) and Gap (GAP) have both warn on profit pressure due to tariffs.

A University of Michigan survey highlighted a drop in consumer sentiment.

Marvell Technology (MRVL) dropped even though revenue met expectations, as guidance were under expectations.

Dell Technology (DELL) also gave guidance that were below expectations.

Cybersecurity company SentinelOne (S), Affirm Holdings (AFRM) and Autodesk (ADSK) all announced better than expected earnings results.
